The revised 2026.5 Ford Ranger Tremor V6 Double Cab strengthens Ford’s off-road-focused Ranger line-up in South Africa, slotting in below the flagship Raptor while offering serious capability and rugged styling.
One of the biggest updates for the 2026 range is the introduction of the powerful 3.0-litre V6 turbodiesel engine to the Tremor derivative, replacing the outgoing 2.0-litre Bi-Turbo diesel. The new V6 produces 184 kW and 600 Nm, paired with Ford’s smooth 10-speed automatic transmission and permanent 4WD system.
Designed for adventure enthusiasts, the Tremor features upgraded off-road suspension, Bilstein dampers, wider track dimensions, increased ground clearance and all-terrain tyres, making it highly capable on gravel roads and demanding trails. Distinctive exterior details such as the unique Tremor grille, grey accents, cast aluminium side steps and 17-inch alloy wheels give it a tougher, more aggressive appearance compared to standard Ranger models.
Inside, the Double Cab combines practicality with modern comfort, offering a large touchscreen infotainment system, digital instrument cluster, advanced driver assistance systems and durable trim finishes suited to both daily driving and outdoor use.
The Tremor is positioned as a more lifestyle-oriented off-roader than the Wildtrak, while remaining more affordable and less extreme than the Raptor.
