2022 was a big year for German-bred, Mercedes-Benz. They dove head first and introduced an extensive range of EQ electric vehicles. In case you missed it, these are the electric models currently available from Mercedes-Benz; EQA, EQB, EQC, and EQS.

The EQS was the last to enter the stable towards the end of 2022, making its appearance at the Festival of Motoring. If you thought that was all, brace yourself because there's more coming. The brand has just confirmed the introduction of an EQE model which will be largely based on the recent EQS, but in a smaller package.

Mercedes-Benz EQE specs

Two variants of the EQE will be made available to our market; an EQE 350+ which will offer 215 kW and 565 Nm, as well as a Mercedes-AMG EQE 43 4MATIC. The latter will produce a more potent 350 kW and 858 Nm, and sprint from 0-100km/h in 4.2 sec. In EQE 350+ the Mercedes-Benz will do the run in 6.4 sec. With the driving range of modern electric vehicles ever improving, we can expect a range of up to 645 km from the EQE 350+ and 535 from the EQE 43 4MATIC.

We haven't received any further details on the upcoming EQE. More information will be released closer to its launch date. Other EQ models we can look forward to seeing this year are the EQE SUV and the EQS SUV, bringing Merc's local EV range to seven. The race is on with other manufacturers also working overtime to be at the fore of the electric car era.
